VLR Communications has been providing telephone recorders for public safety 9-1-1 recording, call center recording, transportation dispatch digital recording, hospital call recording systems, call center voice recording and other call monitoring applications, since 1982. The owner of VLR Communications is Jon Weichelt a former president of the Chicago Financial Telecommunications Association. Jon has been a member of the Associated Public Safety Communications Officials, International, since 1985. Jon has attended numerous national and international APCO and APCO/NENA conventions and conferences. Jon served in the US Navy for 4 years and is a Viet Nam veteran. Jon has recently reaffirmed his dedication to serve in times of crisis through continued professional development and completion of courses by the Federal Emergency Management Institute under the US Department of Homeland Security, US Fire Administration. Jon is always available to share his experience to help you solve your recording needs.

As technology changed, from analog logging recorders to digital voice logging recorders, PC and USB software recording, recording analog to digital phones, and to VoIP recording, we have handled many of the major manufacturers telephone recording products.

Currently we handle recorders, digital announcers, and conference bridges from DVS Analytics formally Wygant, Revcord, Total Recall, Dees, Eventide and lots of other voice logger manufacturers. We also handle digital announcers from Racom and telephone conference bridges from Forum Communications. We have used MELCO service observing systems, too.

We believe current technology permits installation, use, and service of your telephone recorder by the ordinary user without large initial costs and manditory annual service agreements. Factory support and our own dealer support is always available. In addition, the products offered are mail order priced, without the costs for salesmen commission, demonstrations, on site installation, etc. We can offer Web demonstrations of several manufacturers recorders.
